The two cabins offer a choice of cargo boxes. The regular cab model can accommodate items up to 2.28m long, and the double cab 1.53m. Both can carry up to one ton. The bed’s also 60cm lower than on the Mazda B-Series, expanding loading possibilities.

Other features include:

• A high-walled double-skin cover to the box for extra protection and security.
• Optional durable bed liner and rear tonneau cover.
• A new inner wall design, ideal for organising a load.
• Rope hooks and retractable stoppers on certain models to keep gear safe and secure.
• A single action tailgate lever, making opening and closing quick and easy.
• A tow bar, with a towing capacity up to 3000kg.

New features include extended visibility from the driver’s seat, and enhanced braking systems – such as ABS (Double Cab models only). Specifically tuned to cope with major weight above the rear wheels.

There’s also state-of-the-art passive safety. The airbags, body structure, seatbelts, collapsible steering wheel and other features are all at the forefront of technology.

Anti-theft protection features complete the picture, with a Thatcham Category 2 immobiliser fitted as standard across the range and an alarm on TS and TS² models.
